SimilarSounds is free and in early preview - use it to discover music, at your own discretion.
Key, BPM and energy are estimates from 30-second previews. Always trust your ears.
The music belongs to its artists and labels. We're not affiliated with Deezer, SoundCloud, YouTube or Beatport.

1. About these terms

These terms apply to your use of SimilarSounds at www.similarsounds.com, run by Andy Randell in the United Kingdom ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

2. What SimilarSounds does

SimilarSounds suggests house tracks that may mix well with a track you choose, based on estimated key, tempo, energy and sound, and lets you build and share a set. It is a free, non-commercial preview service. We may change, pause or stop any part of it at any time.

3. Estimates, not guarantees

Musical key, BPM, energy, sub-genre, "sound match" percentages and mix ratings are worked out automatically from short previews and may be wrong. They're there to help you discover music, not to replace your own judgement. Release dates and track details come from third-party sources and may be incomplete.

4. Music, logos and other people's content

All tracks, artwork, names and recordings belong to their respective artists, labels and rights holders. SimilarSounds does not host, sell or distribute music files.
Previews and track information are provided by Deezer. Players from Deezer, SoundCloud and YouTube are embedded under those services' own terms, and links take you to Deezer, SoundCloud, YouTube and Beatport.
Deezer, SoundCloud, YouTube and Beatport names and logos are trademarks of their owners. SimilarSounds is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them.
When you follow a link or use an embedded player, that company's own terms and policies apply.

5. Using the site fairly

Please don't misuse SimilarSounds. In particular, don't:

use automated tools to scrape, copy or overload the site or its search;
try to break, bypass or interfere with its security or with the services it connects to;
use it to download, copy or redistribute music you don't have the rights to;
use it for anything unlawful.

We may block access if the site is being misused.

6. Accounts

Accounts are optional and free. Keep your password private and use one you don't use elsewhere. You're responsible for activity on your account. You can delete it at any time from the account screen, and we may close accounts that are misused.

7. Free searches and subscriptions

Each new track you search for uses one search. Searching the same track again within a day, changing filters or loading more results doesn't. Each device gets 3 free searches, and a free account adds 2 more. Once those are used, 2 more become available 24 hours later (a countdown shows when). Free account searches are shared by all accounts used on the same device, so extra accounts don't add more. Free allowances are offered at our discretion and may change. A paid subscription for unlimited searches will be offered separately, with its price, renewal and cancellation terms shown clearly before you sign up.

8. Shared links and sets

Links you share contain only the track numbers of the tracks involved. You're responsible for where you share them.

9. Our responsibility to you

SimilarSounds is provided free and "as is". We do our best to keep it working and accurate but can't promise it will always be available, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss arising from using, or being unable to use, the site, or from relying on its estimates. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

10. Privacy

How we handle information is explained in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

11. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, although if you live elsewhere in the UK you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
